Thereβs nothing like having yearly or biannual checkups with 4-5 different doctors to make a person grateful to have an βunremarkableβ body.
The SF-Marin Food Bank, and other local food banks, need your donations and your volunteering. No need to call in another organization when community food banks are already doing the work, with (in the Bay Area) no requirement to prove need.
But be beloved by all who had interacted with it

@thimblewinder.bsky.social and I are ruminating on what our Service Bots would be like if they were trained on our zines. Hers would be too arch and mine would be dour and inclined to complain. Hashtag be ungovernable
This sucks! Hang in there and rest rest rest.
Sadly this becoming an evergreen post
If I had done my research before meeting up with you, I would have asked you a million questions about this.
Think about libraries of things. In more and more libraries you can check out things like power tools, vacuum cleaners, cake pans. Commodities go in, the world we want comes out. More libraries please!
Got a printer? You can start fighting fascism. Here's a thread of things you can print and distribute. π

@meanseangreene.bsky.social Q and Not U played Bernieβs when I was living in Columbus, this amazing, crummy, little low-ceilinged bagel bar. It was an amazing show. The guitar player broke his strap so he duct taped his guitar to his butt and played the rest of the show that way.
everyone is scared to get on planes now but not me. Iβm still convinced Iβll die in a much more embarrassing way
This is my βdaughter of a Black Panther breakfast program volunteerβ coming out but anyone who tells you that you have to be public about all your resistance activity should immediately be under suspicion for being an op, or being under the influence of an op

Brrrrrrrr!
I miss the days when very rich people used their money to fund libraries, public art and philanthropic endeavors rather than launching slow-motion coups against the federal government.
Even if you donβt have the spoons right now to read the article, I would URGE you to download it so you can have access later no matter what.
There is a PDF download link at the top of the article.
If you want a printed copy, there is a printable zine below:
Thank you for making my day, friend! You know how to conjure a birthday spell, for sure.
Sure is a bad time to be a person who cares about things.
Democracy isn't dead. It's just been placed in a medically-induced coma, lost all higher brain functions and will never wake up again.
Trying to decide between my personal interest and my personal annoyance in noting the date/duration every single time I have a hot flash (lately, approximately 10-15x per day).
Itβs possible. When I go to my local corner store and have to ask for things they keep behind the counter (batteries, toothpaste, bourbon) I donβt consider it a hardship.
Trying to find a happy medium between not knowing anything that's happening in the world and being pissed off all the time
