Our paper mapping the effects of hundreds of pesticides and industrial chemicals on gut bacteria is out in @natmicrobiol.nature.com today!
Turns out many such chemicals, although labelled as 'fungicides' or similar, can inadvertently inhibit friendly gut bacteria.

Check out our new preprint!
We systematically map proteomic and metabolomic interactions between >100 pairs of gut bacteria, detecting metabolic interactions and functionally-related clusters of proteins.

Off-purpose activity of industrial and agricultural chemicals against human gut bacteria bioRxiv - the preprint server for biology, operated by Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, a research and educational institution

Check out our latest work on the unexpected inhibitory effects of common agricultural and industrial chemicals on our gut bacteria. A great collaboration with Anna, Indra and Kiran et al at the MRC Tox Unit in Cambridge.

Super excited to join @meehubs.bsky.social over the next 3 days and hear about microbial ecology. Loving the concept of a hub conference so far!
