I’m excited to see the translations and breakdowns of that half time show. But you know it’s good protest art for a white girl like me who doesn’t speak a lick of Spanish to know exactly what that was. I’m kinda blown away by that.

I didn't write MD because posting to AO3 requires HTML. I use MD all the time and vim's MD support is really nice for that, but for stuff going out on AO3 it needs to be HTML. And I'd rather do the HTML here instead of on AO3 before posting

Dammit I caught the Sandbina brain worms fully I think. It’s a “write an entire outline and first chapter of a fic in one night” sort of night

I'll probably keep writing in Obsidian, but I might honestly start using vim as a tool for formatting the html before posting it onto ao3 so I don't have to deal with wrestling with formatting anymore. It should also make doing footnotes for Spider Lilies easier lmao.

When I posted last night, I copy and pasted what I had into ao3, and quickly realized that I didn't have any <p> tags, so it all formatted into one big block. But with Vim macros, a tedious thing that would have taken quite a while took like a minute max to do.

Here's what it looks like to write an entire fanfiction in neovim. The spellchecker really didn't like their names lol.

Do I recommend doing this? No. Did Neovim's built in functionality help writing the HTML tags way easier and more convenient? Very much yes.

Good lord Sandbina fans are crazy, this is by far the best ratios any of my fics have done. And this was a half-effort one shot!

It was really good! I can see why it was considered a fan favorite quest for quite a while (I guess until the newest quest?), that was a huge jump in quality really suddenly. Hope to see that sort of stuff more going forward.

Cao Xueqin in general is just this really mysterious person that we have very little info on, but the nature of Red Chamber begs for it to bed in context of his life, so it’s this really neat and mysterious dynamic for a novel.

Finally decided to bite the bullet and start reading Dream of the Red Chamber, a book I’ve wanted to read for a while.

The fact that nobody knew who wrote the novel for YEARS even tho the author mentions himself BY NAME in a fourth wall break in the first chapter is so cool.

I could reasonably see it being a mix of all three of those actually. I could see a little autistic child having texture/flavor issues with cake (literally me) and other foods fed to the kids. Mix that with her spawning in as slightly younger than Clervie, and you've got the size difference

Unless it was self-imposed on Peruere’s part, I don’t see any reason why she would be malnourished. For as terrible as Crucabena was, she would have fed her children so as to make them the strongest they could be. So imma go with she was just older which is still neato

Oh yeah I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried lol. If they fuck this up I'm going to be so mad considering what this game is seemingly standing for, but I'm excited regardless.

This is why I've been so excited for this game because just from the trailers you can tell this is what it's about. Horror that channels rage like this is always so vicious and evocative, and I'm so excited to see it represented in a series like Silent Hill.

Also this is the first time in so long I've been this invested in a het ship which is saying something. Xayah and Rakan destroy me lol

I just watched the "Everything Goes On" music video for the first time in quite a while, and I teared up so hard to it which doesn't usually happen.

I have developed such an attachment to these fuckers after writing them so much. I love this AU so much I wish riot didn't abandon it like they did
