Snow day. My kids sledded, then their sleds were food trucks, & ice factories, & boats. It’s freezing & they’re totally unbothered. I thought, this is what resilience looks like. Finding joy in the face of the storm. I’m depressed about the state of the world but in moments like this, there’s joy.

I decided I only had the spoons for one platform and went with that one because it felt most welcoming. But there’s still trolls and bigots like everywhere else. (3/3) & I am not selling books (yet). I think the math might be different if the goal is sales vs community. I’ve been posting about writing because that’s what I’m doing atm, but I wouldn’t bat an eye at posting my painting or amigurumi projects when I pick that up again… (yay adhd hyperfixation 😬)

(2/3) also the brain adapts??? And there is a dopamine rush to the place that is sometimes counterproductive to being productive but that is a risk on every platform… most people I have met there are open, and understanding, and kind. OTOH I am not looking to go viral or build a massive following

Take this with a grain of anecdotal salt from a fellow AuDHD who collects hobbies like it’s a sport - I have found TikTok to be the most welcoming platform of them all. I feel like an outsider everywhere else. And it was overwhelming at first - it is loud and flashy and a sensory nightmare but - 1/2
