timebomb comic imagining how they first said "i love you" pre-battle. Jinx and Ekko stand next to each other, Jinx is looking up and says "Well, this is the real deal. We might actually die today." Ekko's eyes don't leave her, she hugs herself, looks down and continues "and there's so much i still want to say to you..." - She looks back at Ekko, nervous, nails sinking in her own arms as she tries to get the words out but is terrified of jinxing him. She buries her head in her hands. 1/3

Ekko looks at Jinx puzzled, and then his face softens with understanding and affection. He hugs her, catching her by surprise and says "Take you time" - Jinx has tears in her eyes, and doesn't fight the vulnerability that hits her, shutting her eyes close and burying herself in his shoulder. She taps on his back "i'm sorry" and "i love you" in morse code. Ekko understands. He blushes, surprised, and melts a little. 2/3

Ekko taps back "i know. i love you too". They pull away from the hug to share a soft, emotion heavy look, and Jinx jumps back in his arms, happily hugging each other again. 3/3
