So after doing a bit more research about marketing and the direction that I want to go with my series, I decided that I am going to pull Book 1, tweak it a wee bit, and then do a relaunch. I have a better grasp of where I need to put my energy and how to go about it. Indie pub, amirite.

The lady I had today was actually very chill. We were talking about my romance writing and she was like all about it, which was really funny. She definitely talked to me more about what I wanted before she started. I'm planning on going back to her.

I have had my hair down to my ass. I have had my head completely shaved bald. I have had a bright pink mohawk. My hair has been pink, purple, and green. But if the Scissors Man sees a short chubby femme looking person wearing comfortable pants they go "I'm gonna wreck this mom's whole shit." 🙃
My experiences with haircuts in the past have been so hit or miss. I can come in with multiple pictures of the exact cut I want, but if my vibes are off, the hair dresser just starts making weird choices based on, I dunno, who they assume I am as a person?
My partner pointed out that I give off a lot of nervous energy so people don't listen to me. It's one of the things that frustrates me the most about being autistic. People don't actually listen to what you say. They just go on body language and vibes and I am BAD AT BOTH OF THOSE.
I'm going to get a haircut in an hour and I decided to basically dress up in a costume because instead of wearing comfortable clothes, I need to outwardly portray the look I am going for because nobody ever listens to me and I'll end up with a sad mom mullet if I don't dress like a hobbit woman. ☠️

That's so sweet, thank you. Luckily I am also a queer weirdo so I'd rather fight a bitch than let anybody make me feel like I should be embarrassed of my kid - and his dad is the same way. I also make sure that his friends know that they'll always be safe being themselves in our home. 💪
Also it's frustrating how basically when you are a supportive parent, the rest of society still tries to convince you that you should bully your kid into being "normal". Schools don't want to deal with kids who are different. They'd rather the parents make the kid feel bad about being themselves.
