Argyle's away attendance at Reading (2.9k) is set to be the 12th highest since the 2009 visit to Arsenal, the eighth highest excluding cup games. Aside from winning the title at Vale in front of 3.9k fans, Argyle have lost the remaining six games by an average of 3.3 goals #pafc

I'm not conspiratorial, but the financial fans' forum when I was on holiday last September, the financial accounts while my laptop is broken, now these job cuts when I'm on holiday again? Are Argyle scheduling these financial announcements for when I'm not available comment?πŸ˜‚

For the first time in over two years, since winning away at Swansea, Argyle have ended a game with positive goal difference #pafc

MLS Duo Toronto FC & CF Montreal Chase Plymouth’s Aribim Pepple β€” Celtic Monitoring Closely Canadian forward Aribim Pepple is generating interest from MLS clubs after a standout performance for Plymouth Argyle. With physical dominance, clinical finishing, and tactical versatility, Pepple is ...

I don't believe for a second that Argyle value Pepple at Β£5-7m. Tbh, I'd be more likely to believe that the value was Β£500-700k

I think we all suspected that Luton would win this from the moment the EFL reinstated them, exactly the kind of kicking the football gods love to give

Yep, started that run at -9, dropped to -5 v Blackpool, then -3 v Orient, and now 0 v Cardiff

Swansea (A), first Champ win, Whittaker winner under Foster. Before then, iirc Norwich 6-2

Argyle's goal difference (0) is not negative for the first time since the 13th minute of the season, and before that 35th minute of last season #pafc

Pepple's first 12 league apps: 1 goal, 0 assists (375 minutes per goal involvement)
Pepple's next 12 league apps: 8 goals, 2 assists (83 minutes per goal involvement)
Pepple also has more goals in all comps than any other Luton player this season #pafc

Excellent news given the rumoured release clause of just over Β£2m is waaaaay below market value (assuming this isn't some mad bluff on the part of the club/true-ish on a technicality of some sort)

Per FotMob, the shot count is currently 20-0. Surely they'll take a shot before the end of the game?! #pafc

15 shots to 0, my word

Yes, that's it, the name πŸ™„ I agree that Szucs had areas to improve in (the biggest one was defending the front post, never deep enough and allowing the ball across the six-yard area for a tap-in). But I think Szucs had potential and was definitely good enough for L1 side (if he cared enough)

Shame, I like Szucs, but no real surprise

That's why I've gone 45m+. It cuts the Reading loss (12m) but also the Luton win (9m).
Using the same standards, home record with is P3 W2 D0 L1, without P6 W1 D2 L3, though obviously one of those losses is Reading with 10 for 80 mins

Shrewsbury, Newport, or Crawley could join that list. Interesting proposition for them: do you vote no against 3UP and gamble you avoid relegation, or vote in favour, increasing the odds of relegation but also massively increasing odds of promotion from NL

Teams that have played 7+ consecutive years in the EFL in the past 30 years that are currently in non-league: Aldershot, Bury, Carlisle, Chester, Dagenham, Darlington, FGR, Halifax, Hartlepool, Macclesfield, Morecambe, Rochdale, Scunthorpe, Southend, Torquay, Yeovil, York

It's swallowed up so many recent EFL clubs that are trapped down there now. Rochdale look set to escape on their third attempt, though York could still hunt them down. Southend have been in NL for 5 seasons, Hartlepool 3, Scunthorpe 4, Yeovil 7, York 10, Torquay 12

On the NL campaign for a third promotion spot, which I'm a supporter of, Carlisle are just the latest club to realise just how hard it is to escape the NL without it. It seems their only route to promotion is now the Play-Offs.

Since Ralls joined:
Ralls playing 45m+: P6 W4 D1 L1 | PPG: 2.17
Every other game: P10 W3 D2 L5 | PPG: 1.10
Obviously, Tolaj also a huge absence. No huge surprise that our form has dropped in the absence of our two best players #pafc

Someone in the 22 squad players has to be club-developed homegrown player. Previously that'd be Cooper/Randell etc, but now the only ones we have are also u21s. One had to be selected to be listed in the 22; they picked Finn.

Obviously we're not signing Hardie. I don't know how anyone could get their hopes up after this window, last window, and the recent comments by TC. You'll only be dissapointed, surely

Since Schuey left (GD -1), Argyle have ended a game with a positive GD just once (Swansea, A, that first Champ away win). Will that awful run come to an end this season? It's currently -5, having peaked (or troughed, rather) at -13 in early December #pafc

27.01.2026 17:52 πŸ‘ 3 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 1

Argyle have certainly been guilty of that in the past. Can't say that of this window however (mostly because we're not actually interested in anyone, it seems)

26.01.2026 22:29 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

The beauty of it being such a quiet window is that I keep forgetting that we can sign players, thus mostly removing my frustration at our inactivity
