Congratulations to the Journal of Cultural Analytics π
Princetonβs Center for Digital Humanities is now its publisher. JCA has migrated to @janewayolh.bsky.social and joined the @ojcollective.bsky.social launch collection!
Details: cdh.princeton.edu/news/2026/02...
Also cool: @c21literature.bsky.social runs on the software I co-created with the mighty @ajrbyers.bsky.social and uses the funding/business model I co-designed and built with the excellent @theblochian.bsky.social, making it all free for readers to access, thanks to 300+ global libraries.
So much work behind the scenes, many many thanks to @mariajuko.bsky.social, Nancy Pedri, @wilkinsp.bsky.social, all the authors, peer reviewers (those who could review and those who couldn't), Clem Wilkins, and everyone at @janewayolh.bsky.social, @openlibhums.org, @siliconchips.bsky.social!
We're hiring! We have 2 jobs advertised: Library Engagement Lead and Operations Manager, deadline Tues 6 January 2026. Links:

Come work for a major new international organisation funding #openaccess publishing!
And we are back online.
We're currently suffering an outage due to a networking issue caused by our server host. We're working to get it resolved.
Anyone want to hazard a guess at which point we implemented Anubis for the OLH install of Janeway? Bot traffic is just unbelievable.
The theme of #UniversityPressWeek is #TeamUP and we're doing just that by working with so many great UPs to produce and digitally host vital scholarly books (on Fulcrum) and journals (on @janewayolh.bsky.social). @aupresses.bsky.social
Well that was fastβ¦ apparently you can now BUY THE CHAOS IS COMING T-SHIRT thanks to my colleague @scholtom.bsky.social π€£ chipsandgrady.uk/product/chao... #OpenAccess
Universities want new business models, not just discounts.
As @theblochian.bsky.social (OLH Exec. Director) writes: Together we can move our university funding away from obscene commercial extractivists and back into scholar-led non-profit models

Proud to be repping some @openlibhums.org merch this Halloweβen!
Iβm a huge advocate for what @theblochian.bsky.social & the whole team do to sustainably grow Diamond Open Access academic publishing.
P.s. commercial publishers really are eating your journalβs brains! Letβs keep horror in fiction π§ββοΈ
Interested in a non commercial, academy owned publishing solution? We work with our friends at @michiganpublishing.bsky.social to offer Janeway and Fulcrum together.

A great job has opened up at the California Digital Library at the University of California-- the Technical Team Manager for Discovery and Delivery! #Jobs #libraries #TechManagers cdlib.org/about/job-op...
Dear Gods of all that is stupid...
IT'S REAL.
Post Anubis go live we havenβt seen a single down time on the site.
A line graph titled βResponse timeβ showing response latency over a 24-hour period from October 2, 12:27 to October 3, 12:27. The vertical axis ranges from 0 ms to 781 ms. The green line represents response times, fluctuating mostly between 200 ms and 500 ms, with occasional peaks and dips. Red vertical bars indicate periods of errors or issues. Toward the right end of the graph, response times drop and stabilize at a lower range around 200 ms or less.
Here's our monitoring graph for this site. Red bars indicate where the server was unable to handle all requests within our timeout setting.
One of our hosted sites is under constant attack from scraper bots. We've implemented the open source tech Anubis and now the site is much more stable.

Seeing as I'm praising publishers today, I sent out some decisions for our special issue on open research for HSS and @janewayolh.bsky.social is really excellent to work with.
3 new #DiamondOpenAccess papers published in @glossa-linguistics.bsky.social. See glossa-journal.org/articles/ Powered by the @janewayolh.bsky.social platform, copy-edited & typeset by @siliconchipsuk, & financially supported by the scholar-owned consortial library model of @openlibhums.org
