Yeah, wild right? I'm so glad we're getting this window into these decisions, if only because it proves exactly what we all suspected.
I used to be a professor, so I recognize well the unwarranted confidence of a dumb 20-something. Some acted as if they already knew all they needed to know about the world... worse yet, while actively paying thousands of dollars for literal experts to teach them something. "There were no books." Lol
Can't wait! I hope it arrives quickly, before my upcoming work travel!

The two people above me at work just made the call to pull the plug on our trip to DC in a few weeks. Reasons for doing so seem to be varied, but let's just say it isn't entirely divorced from the state of the world, either.
Just bought the very last available ticket (not resale) for the Saturday night LaMP show at Garcia's in Chicago. Gonna be there for work with an evening to kill, and it was this or, honestly, going to bed early - lol.
The 4:30 PM Kitty Dinner Club is eagerly awaiting me to log off for the day.
They're gonna be PISSED when I run without them later...
Hard workout at Orange Theory this morning, but not a lot of running. Now it's gorgeous out (66°, sunny, no humidity). So, guess who is probably going for a run after work? Gotta do it!
Just had a phone call with a lifelong friend to try to explain the details of why she's been notified that she'll potentially be laid off after this school year. Not fun. But I think I helped her understand how real the potential threat is, and the budgetary concerns her district is facing. 😔

Animals don't do time changes. This morning, I kept saying I had to get up. Our dog Hank would then lay himself on top of me in a bear hug and tuck his nose into the space between my neck and ear until I drifted off again. He did this like 3 times, and it kept me in bed for at least an extra hour.
I talked to my parents today and said, "It's so warm. Isn't it? It's 47° here!" And my dad is like, "What... warm?! It's 65° here!" That seems like a crazy difference for less than 150 miles.
These are a fun snack.

Last night was a fun time! Video of Kimock while his guitar gently weeps.
I used to bike commute, and I'll do it again, dang it. There's a nice bike trail for 80% of it, but one really dicey section I'd need to figure out. I mostly worry about getting hit by a car in rush hour.
Jaysus, might be time to dust off my bike...
