Today’s #BirdOfTheDay theme is #ShoutItOut birds calling out. I went to Lake Erie on Saturday. There is still a lot of ice on the water. A fisherman discarded his catch after filleting them and the gulls had a field day with all the free food. #birds #birdphotography

Today's #BirdOfTheDay theme is #SideView, birds that are side on to the camera set by @robcrank68.bsky.social. Here is a Vermilion Flycatcher taken in Arizona. These little birds are fierce and adorable - can they be both? #birds #birdphotography

@robcrank68.bsky.social has said today's #BirdOfTheDay theme is #FourOrMore, captures of 4 or more birds in 1 photo. On this day, it was BRUTALLY cold in Holland, Michigan. Extreme winds and snow brought thousands of birds down to ride out the weather. Redheads and Goldeneyes. #birds #birdwatching

The #BirdOfTheDay theme is #BestOfTheMonth. I don’t know why, I found it funny that this flock of geese landed where they did and then all walked up the hill.

A grackle is an all black bird. This one is flying straight up to catch a peanut that has been tossed in the air. The ocean’s crashing waves are in the background.

The #BirdOfTheDay theme today is #WideOpenWings. This grackle has his eyes on the prize and will catch the peanut mid-air. I always take unsalted peanuts with me to the beach. I share as I walk along the surf.
