She also said: "Sometimes people will register for the workshop (just to save a spot) then get reimbursed the deposit when they win a scholarship. Other people reserve, then if they don’t get one, request a reimbursement, which we honor as long as it is before the course is too close."

Hi! I got an official answer! She said: If a scholarship is needed to attend, just apply for the scholarship and if you are awarded one, you will get the course of your choice! (No need to register separately before hearing about the scholarship.)

I think you just apply for a scholarship (yay! So thrilled you applied!) But let me ask someone on staff just to confirm!
