Democratic primary turnout is surging in Texas, according to early voting data | CNN Politics Early voting data ahead of next Tuesday’s US Senate primaries in Texas suggest a sharp rise in Democratic turnout, pointing to a continuing trend of strong enthusiasm among the party’s base.

This tracks with what my brother told me. He tried to take our mother to vote yesterday in Williamson County but the lines were too long so they got a mail ballot instead.

Just have to carry that enthusiasm over to November. Is the gerrymander backfiring?

It's so refreshing to find someone who has heard of Iolanthe, much less knows it well enough to make such a significant logical leap!

I saw a brilliant all-male version of Iolanthe in London about 10 years ago. Still one of my favourite live entertainment experiences.

Man I'd hate to own a business in the hospitality sector in the US right now. Triple whammy of far fewer tourists, higher costs due to tariffs and a sharply reduced labor pool due to immigration raids. All due to the Tangerine Tyrant.
