Thanks to all who pitched in to help feed my hungry poll workers on 11/4. We were processing voters at West Gray, the busiest polling place in the county. We had a line from 100 to 300 all day. No one had a real lunch break because voting was so heavy — situation normal at this polling center.
Lotsa enthusiastic supporters here in Houston for Gov Newsom and for Californians who voted for Prop 50.

I am in recovery today after working from 5:30 am til about 9:15 pm when delivered ballot boxes to election central. The return location was out by IAH way out at the edge of the county. Was after 10 pm by time I hot home. 🥱

Upside was that 3 of my election clerks were newbies — a 16 yr old high school student and 2 20-somethings who train astronauts how to do EVAs.
Yesterday’s turnout at my polling place was slightly better than I expected. We voted 11 people instead of my predicted 8 to 10. Not really surprising since we were in a very urban location for very suburban elections.
