Man I can't even leave the house without a panic attack and so much nausea. Even if I'm just going to get Millie, the dog I've walked by myself for 6 ish years. I can't do it without panicking. Once I have her I can manage, I can manage walking back home by myself. But I crash like hell afterwards

Why give your dog something they've never had as they're dying because you like it? If you know your dog likes it go for it, hence my little exception I noted. But giving your dog something new as they're dying just seems shitty

A few hundred euthanasias would make me more certain on it. It's not really just chocolate, it's more giving your dog something they've never had before as they're dying. Hence why I noted that exception.

It's not about making them sick. What I don't like is giving your animal something they've never had before. If they love chocolate do it. If they've never had it then why are you giving them it?

No, people will give dogs that have never had chocolate before chocolate before they're euthanized. Which I think giving them anything they haven't showed a lot of interest in or eaten before is a bit, or quite, selfish. It's a very dog by dog thing tho, some dogs would love it

My issue is just giving a dog something you don't know they'll like. If they like it do it. But a lot of times when people feed their dogs chocolate before death they've never had it before

The point is that it seems pretty selfish to feed your dog that it is currently dying a thing they've never had before. Feed them something you know they enjoy. If it's chocolate go for it. Most dogs aren't regularly seeking out chocolate. There's no need to feed them a new thing.
