Hell yeah! I am now a top 100 Rosalina player. 94/140.
This has been a little goal of mine for a while.
This isn't necessarily because I've gotten much better, but because about 10-20 other Rosa players have become inactive/others have done worse lately.
I'll take the W. 🥰
Forgot to mention. I have a girlfriend now (Elsie).
I love her so much. 💕
The Lucas is real.
Beat a local Snake with Lucas 2-1 after losing game 1 with Rosalina.
He still needs a lot more work but I see some good first steps.
I think I'm going to bring Lucas back as a Secondary/Pocket.
He deals with a few of Rosalina's mu's that I hate the most and imo, he's almost as much fun to play as Rosalina.
It does annoy me that I keep getting so close to making these big upsets in tournaments.
I’m clearly seeing improvements, with how close I’m getting to beating high seed players, but my results still don’t reflect that.
I’m hopefully that eventually I’ll make a good run.
Did decent at the monthly. 25th/63.
Took a good player who was a much higher seed to two last stock games and beat a good local player in a 2-1 nail biter set.

Went 2-2 due to a DQ. I’ll take it.
Tonight wasn’t a complete loss:
Got 5th/16 in the Amateur bracket and won $6 in Randubs. My Mario was cooking.
Went 1-2.
Not surprised. I’m still a bit tired from travelling back to Victoria from Denman today and I woke up at 6 AM this morning.
Going 1-2 while tired isn’t terrible anyways.
I’ll try to get a good night’s sleep so I can do better in the monthly tomorrow.

I think the simplest way to get around this is to only throw out options when I'm very close to the opponent or if they whiff.
Just because something is true or a possible combo doesn't mean it will be for me.
It'll be an adjustment, but I need to play within my limits.
Sometimes I wonder if I can succeed at Smash Bros at a high level with such a slow reaction time. This is the bottom 10%.
I have a disability related to this, known as poor fine motor skills.
Its frustrating trying to play reactive, and whiffing constantly because I can't react fast enough. 🙃

Slight movement, mostly because of inactive players dropping off, and not me getting any wins, but still moving up is a plus regardless.
Canada ranking: Moved up 9 places to 972nd/1625.
Global ranking: Moved up 106 places to 21,456/37,165

I'm competitive with my local PR players too. Which shouldn't happen with a win rate like that.
Eventually my overall win rate will catch up, but until then I'm a bit of a dark horse. 😅

Its kind of funny being a player that up until very recent has been having very mid results. My win rate is only 34%, but over the past 6 months its about 10% higher (42%).
I sometimes beat people who have a 10-20% higher win rate, which is pretty funny.

I'm finally getting good enough at Smash, that sometimes when I win sets in tournaments, my opponents asks for advice in the mu.

I thought I might just bomb tonight, because I was quite tired, but I managed to go 2-2 (9th/19) and took a game off a local PR player.
Also got 3rd/9th in the Amateur bracket. I think I went 4-2 getting as far as Losers Finals.

Not a huge bracket but I got 9th/23 and finally broke my 2-2 curse, getting a 3-2 finally.
