I canβt go this year. I get such a lift from it. I havenβt yet found anything to replace it.
Worth savouring, hope you have many more moments like this.
Parents have changed the pharmacy they are registered with. I was just there saying how kind and helpful theyβve been over the last few days and another customer said, yes they are, theyβre the best pharmacy in Birmingham.
Been to a lovely afternoon birthday bash. Result of afternoon drinking is that Iβm in bed while the birds are still singing outside.

A clear plastic bag stuffed plump with lots of saved pill packs. The smaller plastic post bag from terracycle
Can I tessellate all these saved pill packs to fit into the terra cycle bag? Quiet Sunday night here.
Used up our fav boy name on child 1. Agamemnon was posited for child 2, but on arrival we were able to use fav girl name instead.

Shiver me timbers was my first thought when I saw that. I havenβt been since it moved out of Longrock.
A smaller type of bumble bee on a purple chive flower. It is face to face with a white spider with a large abdomen with red stripes down the side of it. The spiderβs white legs are pointy and directed at the bee.
The bee died later in this encounter. The white crab spider is really spooky looking. #SundayPixDeath
Beautiful rain just now in Bham. Itβs been a hot day at my parentsβ and Iβm pretty sure some heating is stuck on. Everything says itβs off, but this house always used to stay cool in summer.
I proof-read daughterβs a-level geography project. It was very long and I felt sorry for teachers having to mark a ton of them. I couldnβt tell if sheβd done well or not, turns out she has, so thatβs a relief.

#EfES thought for today...π
Children love learning ways to help improve our environmental systems, but they're even more enthusiastic about taking action. Today Y2s worked to answer the @ministryofeco.bsky.social question "How important are soils?". They're now compost advocates & worm whisperers π
PATHETIC @bankofengland.bsky.social

1. You feel powerless? Donβt know what you can do to resist the rise of fascism?
Here is an answer: Good Things.
Fascism inflicts pain and harm as a matter of doctrine.
Kindness, care and conviviality defend us from it.
The more we build community, the less it can take root.
