The last photo of third-grader Mikaeil Mirdoraghi, waving to his mom before he left for school. He was killed shortly after in the U.S./Israeli strike on a primary school in Minab.
BBC Verify has pieced together verified videos, satellite imagery and expert views after a deadly attack near a primary school in Minab, souther Iran, which suggest the area was hit more than once "by multiple simultaneous or near-simultaneous strikes".

Gonna state this for the millionth time but AO3βs existence and function is a miracle in todayβs world, and itβs run by a team that do much silent work.
Please give them your faith, support, & appreciation. As a website, theyβre still victim to tech issues but they got it!! #ao3 #fanfic #reminder

β‘οΈNEW: SEN. BERNIE SANDERS: βIsrael should not be directing American war policy. Thatβs something the American Congress should be doing.β

Do not share misinformation on Iran. We already have to deal with western media narratives and state media spins. We donβt need the everyday user of Twitter or Bluesky adding fuel to the lies.
The fear of this happening is a greater threat to voter turnout than the possibility of it happening.
ICE simply does not have the manpower to do this at scale.
The greater threat is mass disenfranchisement if the βSAVE Actβ passes.

Just a quick segue on LeBronβ¦.to say youβve heard NOTHING BUT great things about Israel in this current day is very revealing about who is in your circle and what exposure you have to global news.
Interesting. I wonder if her husband's firm will continue to benefit from this $20M DHS contract.

These photos remind me of the harrowing x ray photos I saw of Palestinian children with bullets through their heads, with doctors confirming that thereβs no way this was an accidental hit, especially when they see it over and over again. Sworn enemies (Israel and the IR), the same brand of violence.
When I say that the Israeli government and the IR government are two sides of the same coin, this is a prime example. The overt cruelty to harm the people they attack, when not just killing them outright. For Israel, itβs Palestinians reporting occupation, but for the IR, itβs its own citizens.
any time I give remarks in Europe I talk about how the US is where it is by weaponizing anti-migrant sentiment, punishing speech starting with pro-Palestine speakers and then expanding, and ignoring the disgruntled far-right, bc like over half of the countries in the EU are likeβ¦five years behind us
a lot of ppl in the USA wouldβve said this exact thing less than a decade ago, and a lot of ppl who live in countries with large far-right political movements rapidly gaining ground (often helped by the same tech billionaire players as here) seem too busy looking askance at the States to notice
The IR and Israel wield their theofascist power in the same way. Theyβre two sides of the same coin. Donβt fall into a trap of repeating the words of Zionists and racists, and elevate the people of Iran. Who are repressed, attacked, silenced, and treated as bargaining chips regularly.
I will always elevate the calls for freedom and the pain of Iranians who face the violence of the IR, our heroes who are in Evin prison imprisoned for fighting for Iran, who face the twisted allegations of the IR. But if diaspora iroonis think allying with other human rights abusers is the wayβ¦
Itβs hard to take some of the fellow people in the diaspora seriously when they talk about human rights violations when they neglect to mention them when they occur anywhere else in the world, by the same bastions of power that folks are saying will save them. Itβs been an insanely isolating time.
Itβs always free Iran and down with the IR around here, but itβll be a cold day in hell before I stand next to people holding Israeli flags and pictures of Trump. I love my people, but I will always elevate the voices of the people inside Iran first. Some of them do support Pahlavi, but plenty donβt
I wouldnβt be surprised if Stephen Miller was involved in sourcing this piece.
Thread with a gift link at the end:
Money is policy: you canβt give ICE a budget larger than all but 15 militaries worldwide and expect the agency to demilitarize its behavior.
Jeffries and Schumer expect us to believe otherwise.

I've been to some countries where people live under military rule or autocracy. And without fail, one of the questions I get when they ask about life in the U.S. is whether it's true that Americans just let homeless people die on the street.

1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.
Hundreds of kids are still detained.
Weβll let the childrenβs words speak for themselves. π§΅
