Gildarts was meant to be blonde but was made red haired in the anime by mistake it seems, making him look more like Shanks, he still looks kinda similar with his initial hair color but it wasn't as jarringly close as his anime look

Wanted to try a diff style for a bio, since this one introduces a whole major species. Was very fun tryna experiment a bit with this one, as this was something I've wanted to bring to life for a good bit now :]

Imo while I agree that it loses some of the visual intent of the original, I would still say it maintains enough to still capture the SOTC magic and add new details only possible with the more modern tech like Avion making a large wave of water rise at it flies towards you.
