Pokémon selection screen before a battle in the "Pokémon Stadium Enhanced Rentals" mod. This is before the semifinal of the Pika Cup, featuring Lass, one of the most infamous trainers in the entire game, known for her level 20 Tentacruel and Gyarados, who have ended countless runs through this cup over the years.
And yet, I swept this particular battle because, for some crazy reason, Lass did not bring her Gyarados or Tentacruel. I had never swept her before, whether in a mod or in the original game. I was quite shocked, but nonetheless happy to move on.
All battles beaten in the Pika Cup! There are eight battles, and winning each battle earns you a badge, and these badges are the same ones who earn by defeating Gym Leaders in the Generation 1 games (Red/Blue/Yellow).

The "Enhanced Rentals" mod for Stadium modifies every rental Pokémon's moves and stats to make them more viable for those who don't have their own Pokémon. This is big because rental Pokémon in the Stadium series are notoriously poor (especially in Stadium 2). This screenshot shows the updated moveset for the rental Zapdos for the Poké Cup.

Hitmonlee, the Kicking Fiend. I ultimately picked this one over Hitmonchan.
Hitmonchan has an interesting gimmick where it learns elemental punches, but it has such a pathetic Special stat that it's useless. Combine that with Fighting-types getting screwed over HARD in Gen 1, and you have a Pokémon that isn't worth having except to fill out the Pokédex.
Beating the Fighting Dojo gets you not a badge, but a choice between two unique Fighting-type Pokémon. I went with Hitmonlee over Hitmonchan. #retro #retrogaming #gaming #pokemon #pokemon30
