Yesterday's we joined Delegate Dana Jones, Delegate Dylan Behler and numerous volunteers to help clean up the World War II memorial in Annnapolis. As we approach Veteran's Day please take a moment to remember those who served.

Public Services Announcement - Waugh Chapel Road work will be occurring between Chapelgate and Piney Orchard Parkway for the next few weeks. The road work will including grinding and repaying of pavement. Please be patient as we improve your ride.

Congratulations to IAFF 1563, which represents our Anne Arundel Firefighters, on your 60th Anniversary. I am proud to have a record supporting our first responders. Proud to have supported legislation that helped with cancer screening and hearing loss.

Tonight the GORC Wildcats celebrated their Homecoming. It is exciting to see so many families in the community participating in GORC and its programs.

We also announced the dedication of new scoreboard at GORC Park which was paid for by a state legislative bond initiative. What a great event.

On this Labor Day, we honor every worker in our community and country. We especially appreciate our labor unions and organizations that have fought for workers' rights, benefits, and equality.

Back to School. Tomorrow in AACPS, ALL students will be heading back to school. I want to wish everyone in our schools a successful school year.

Of note, I had the opportunity to visit the renovated Meade High School. I was glad to help advocate for this project through the years.
