She/Her. I have strong opinions about (but not limited to) the NFL, NBA (Go Warriors), television, classic films (1930s-1960s), Star Wars, and the MCU (specifically Tony Stark, Loki and James 'Bucky' Barnes).

Yeah. πŸ˜† I was debating how much to say. I landed on just answering her question and sharing some general highlights of what's to come (funny eps, B&W ep, real time ep, etc). I assume she'll be reaching out with more questions as she goes. Can't wait until the William storyline begins. 😜

I was initially shocked she knew so little about the show. She also asked me if it gets better. Mulder and Scully (more so Mulder) were what was keeping her going. But then it hit me. Oh, yeah, she wasn't born when it started airing! πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ She was also excited to learn there are funny episodes to come.

Had lunch with a friend today who shared she's watching The X-Files. First time. About to finish S2. She asked me to spoil one thing. "Do Mulder & Scully end up together? Please tell me they do. They have to end up together." πŸ˜† I said it's complicated & a slow burn, but yes. She was very relieved.

And the following year becoming the first recipient of the Donald Trump Lifetime Achievement Award.

Yes! Give me artistry over jumps, jumps, and more jumps. He may have a gold medal, if there wasn't all the expectation to perform multiple quads.

New Pentagon budget reports show Pete Hegseth spent $93 billion in one month, making it the highest monthly expense since 2008.

This budget report included spending $2 million on Alaskan King Crab.

I'm waiting for the idiotic Indycar race in DC celebrating America's 250 years that Trump wanted and his finding out that over half the drivers are foreign born.

I'm very likely in the minority on this, but I find his routines so much more entertaining and joyful when he's not doing all those damn quads.

a woman is sitting in front of a bookshelf and holding her hair and asking what . Alt: a woman with long brown hair and a look of disbelief is sitting in front of a bookshelf and holding her hair and asking, Wait what?

My reaction after a friend who nearly always turns down my suggestions for getting together suddenly says, "Maybe".

Judging by the comments to her post, no, no one is excited. πŸ˜†

Maybe there's going to be a new comic or novelization? Which is fine, if Joss isn't involved. Most to the cast is busy with other projects. Not to mention, Joss killed off Wash for shock value.

I wondered if her getting eviscerated during the hearing the other day would lead to this. Trump wanted her incompetence and cruelty, but not the embarrassment!

But like Punxsutawney Phil, we need Aaron to emerge from his prolonged period in darkness to let us know how many weeks we have until free agency begins.

This may seem trivial to people who use the word "sportsball" online, but remember that, for many Americans, the events that finally drove home the severity of COVID was the cancellation of March Madness.

I was watching an interview with FranΓ§ois Arnaud and he was asked to share a film he saw recently he loved and he started talking about Sentimental Value. I may have audibly squeed and clapped my hands. πŸ˜†

I agree he could still win, but if he doesn't I think it might be due to his over campaigning and the Safdie backlash. Timothee is 30, on his 3rd nom, and there have been several younger recipients in recent years so I don't feel age is an issue. I'd give more credence to the Kardashian curse. 😜

Me too! For many reasons. I thought One Battle had the edge for best picture, but maybe not? Not that I'd be angry if either won. My personal fave is still Sentimental Value. 😁

Annnnd the Oscar race for best actor just got interesting! Michael B Jordan seemed genuinely surprised. And Ethan Hawke seemed genuinely thrilled for him. Class act. And who I thought was the dark horse Oscar contender.

Definitely. And it was also interesting they were given the better material. Their bit was probably the best part of the show. Love Connor, but all the stuff they gave him was cringe. I had my hoodie over my head by the end of the show.

Well the Oscar race for best supporting actress just got interesting. Happy to see Amy Madigan get recognized.

Wonderful, heartfelt, moving speech by Harrison Ford. And whoever put that clip package together celebrating his work deserves an award. Terrific compilation of footage with perfect segues. They even included the recent Shrinking/Indiana Jones moment.

Assuming this is true (and not a ploy to distract from the wedding taking place very soon), I hope they have a very long, very happy marriage. They are the one celebrity couple I'm a tiny bit parasocial about and just want good things for them.

Ha. I didn't think about the WB connection. 😁 Yeah, the only bit that made me laugh was Lisa Kudrow refusing to do a bit. I actually wasn't sure I was going to watch tonight, but then heard Harrison Ford was getting a lifetime achievement.

And once again the female hockey players are far cooler and superior to their male counterparts.

Well, spoke too soon about no commercials. At least they are limited.

02.03.2026 01:41 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Damn. This is the first awards show I've watched where there has been one posthumous recipient, Catherine O'Hara, and a nominee, Martin Short, not in attendance due to a death in the family. 😟

The Actor Awards suffer from off timing, lame humor and cringe as much as any awards show. However, being broadcast on Netflix means we get to hear all the swears and are free from commercials. So, more good than bad!

At least Neve got her bag, after they low balled her last time. But was anyone clamoring for a 7th Scream film? Studios keep churning out IP drek & spend tens of millions to publicize, while smaller, original films open with no fanfare & die at the box office. See: Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die.

So, it's the Ellisons that have the blackmail material? Finally an answer to that question.
