Last year I sponsored a bill that would have put an end to our twice-yearly time change because switching our clocks harms Nevadans.
Based on the outpouring of support that bill received from the community, Iβm not alone in wanting to end this outdated practice.
It is time to #LocktheClock

Kristi Noem has done a stunning amount of damage and itβs good sheβs gone.
But this doesnβt change the fact that we need a complete overhaul of DHS, impartial investigations into the killings of two American citizens, and information on children that were taken from Minnesota.
This year is our time to fight for something better - better schools, better housing, a better system where the odds arenβt stacked against working people.
Join me today and letβs build a brighter Nevada for all!

You have probably heard about everything thatβs at stake this election, but have you heard about the incredible opportunity we have this year?
Happy Womenβs History Month to all of the powerful women whose lives and accomplishments have shaped our society for the better.
So excited to file for reelection to Assembly District 25 today! The work for a brighter Nevada continues!
From the beginning, this campaign has been built on fighting for the rights of women and families. I am honored to have earned the support of @nevadanow.bsky.social as we work together to create a brighter Nevada for all!
ENDORSEMENT ALERT π¨
Nevada NOW PAC is thrilled to endorse Selena La Rue Hatch @selenafornevada.bsky.social for Nevada Assembly, District 25.
This decision was never about lowering costs for working families - it was about loosening regulations so his corporate cronies and profit even more off our suffering.
Climate change has been driving up the cost of homeowners insurance due to increased fires, flooding, and other natural disasters. It is also driving up our heating and cooling costs as we try to cope with unpredictable and extreme temperatures.
...On top of that, utility costs can creep up, wages may become less reliable, and retirement savings are exposed to climate-driven shocks.β

βClimate change shows up directly in household budgets as pressures converge. These pressures could include insurance becoming unaffordable or even unavailable, which can then have knock-on effects on property values. ..
Our job as leaders is always to figure out who is not being heard and pass them the mic. In this moment we need fighters who are rooted in community and amplifying the voices of those who are being most silenced.
Reckless voucher schemes like these will always hurt kids, and they will hurt our community as a whole when our education system declines from a lack of resources.
Our public schools aren't struggling because they are inherently flawedβthey are struggling because anti-public-school groups have been using voucher programs to siphon funds out of public schools for decades.

The average cost of childcare for Nevada families ranges from $9,000β$11,500 per child per year. That means a family making the median household income of $76,000 per year is spending 13% of their monthly income per child every month on childcare.
America gave up kings 250 years ago and adopted a system in which βno one is above the law.β
But presidents? SCOTUS gives them immunity.
Corporations? SCOTUS makes it easier for them to pollute.
Billionaires? SCOTUS says they can buy elections.
The legacy of the John Roberts Supreme Court.
It is long past time we hold bad actors like Musk accountable for this kind of reckless behavior. Because while his company is getting fined, it is our community that pays the price for their harmful actions.
Once again, one of Elon Musk's companies has been skirting regulations and cutting corners. And once again the worldβs richest man will pay a fine and continue to do whatever he wants, regardless of the law.

"We often think of authoritarians as omnipotent..But this is not true, and that attitude of despair is precisely what the authoritarian needs. Authoritarians have frequently been defeated in the face of mass resistance, from the Eastern Bloc to Latin America."

Medicare for all, paid leave, universal childcare.
Busting up big corporations and tackling Wall Streetβs greed.
Getting big money out of politics.
Supporting unions and fighting for higher wages.
If Dems want to win back working people, this is the agenda they must support.
I brought AB 109 because in the driest state in the nation, we need to ensure our process for determining who gets access to water is fair, robust, and transparent.
βThe goal of this bill is not to create dramatic changes. It is not to hurt any industry. It really is to protect what I think is the gold standard of water law in the West and make sure that we are applying it fairly,β

Thank you, @sseq.bsky.social, for your endorsement. As a teacher, I fight every day for my students to be loved and supported no matter how they identify and I am proud to continue that work in the NV Legislature.
Boring Co. tunnels do not address the public transit needs of Nevadans. A tunnel full of self-driving Teslas cannot replace a train that can carry hundreds of people at a time. And we do not need the safety and environmental harms that go hand in hand with every Boring Co. project.
I will always choose the needs of my community over corporate profits. During the special session, I was asked to bankrupt the state and risk closing schools to give tax breaks to the wealthiest corporations on earth. My answer was no.
#PeopleOverProfit
I am proud to have brought the bill that started this conversation about regional rail. People need a fast, cheap, and low-emission way to get to work and regional rail is the answer. This project would bring thousands of good-paying, union jobs while also serving a critical need in our community.
