Last year I sponsored a bill that would have put an end to our twice-yearly time change because switching our clocks harms Nevadans.
Based on the outpouring of support that bill received from the community, I’m not alone in wanting to end this outdated practice.

Kristi Noem has done a stunning amount of damage and it’s good she’s gone.
But this doesn’t change the fact that we need a complete overhaul of DHS, impartial investigations into the killings of two American citizens, and information on children that were taken from Minnesota.
This year is our time to fight for something better - better schools, better housing, a better system where the odds aren’t stacked against working people.

Climate change has been driving up the cost of homeowners insurance due to increased fires, flooding, and other natural disasters. It is also driving up our heating and cooling costs as we try to cope with unpredictable and extreme temperatures.

Boring Co. tunnels do not address the public transit needs of Nevadans. A tunnel full of self-driving Teslas cannot replace a train that can carry hundreds of people at a time. And we do not need the safety and environmental harms that go hand in hand with every Boring Co. project.
I will always choose the needs of my community over corporate profits. During the special session, I was asked to bankrupt the state and risk closing schools to give tax breaks to the wealthiest corporations on earth. My answer was no.

I am proud to have brought the bill that started this conversation about regional rail. People need a fast, cheap, and low-emission way to get to work and regional rail is the answer. This project would bring thousands of good-paying, union jobs while also serving a critical need in our community.
