My brother wrote a Superman story as parable way way back - that i then turned into a comic, it was all about how he could do so much but not everything and how difficult that was on him.
yeah, I won't miss it since first realizing how important it was. (it's also why I gave up on multiple platforms - took too much time to do that even hastily). Hoping that by doing it regularly, awareness spreads across the comics community. Need to get publishers to get on accessibility...
it grew way beyond our expectations out of the gate, and on a bit of a pause of late, but we are always open to new connections (And expect the exhibition will be up somewhere soonish...) Not exactly my field but as I got into it, just shocked that a blind kid who wants to read spider-man can't...
haven't missed alt text in five years I think... You may be intrigued about our project in that regard spinweaveandcut.com/blind-access...
Yes!
Cool - glad to see you’ll be here in SF!
I think frequently about the perfect blue sky here in SF morning of Nov 8, 2016, and how hopeful I felt, perhaps extra so as the parent of a then 2yo girl. Not because I was naive that things would be perfect, but represented possibilities. 10 years of this monster & his cult followers instead, ugh…

I had class do a tiny exercise where we drew 3 panels to represent Star Wars (a new hope) tonight - and at least a handful of students hadn't seen it, weren't sure what movies that included...
well said. I read Jones's history of comics book for my superhero class – but I wouldn't have the students read even excerpts for it. Raised too many questions. It was really good. I was a fan of his comics writing. Complicated things once the work is in the world...
Umm, I can’t even. That there are people who can say, yep, I’m still ok with that…
A reminder this is still in the works.
Both of these proposals are insane on so many levels. And the public comment is way harder than it should be…
that's awesome!
well played
Cool, teaching this term - will be fun to explore with this!
Wake up, a new scandal that would end any other presidency just dropped. bsky.app/profile/cram...
Documents reveal a web of financial ties between Trump officials and the industries they help regulate:
ProPublica is releasing a trove of disclosure records that detail the finances of more than 1,500 Trump appointees who declined to identify former clients.
Definitely a real abominable thing…
In case that source was less than reliable, also from the guardian
Indeed
Need courses of action to stop this madness
Stop the country. I want to get off… this is unthinkable
Playing for change is such a great project - my dad plays the videos for us most times we get home, so good!
Also, I’m absolutely convinced one of the cast members can actually fly (guy on far left) and does his best not to so no one suspects… he’s out of this world in how he defies gravity…

Family & I went ODC professional dance company’s performance in SF today (my kiddo has been in their classes since age 3), such a moving & profound celebration of what it means to be human, of our capacity for creative expression, & the artistry of the human body. Extraordinary! odc.dance
They had names. They had beautiful faces. And they had the same dreams as your kids - crushed when American "precision" bombs slammed into their Minab elementary school, killing 175
Don't blame AI for this. Blame the sick humans who see war as a game
