There can be only one Most Ridiculous Game Ever, and this is it.
Iβm so glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for all the kind words.
This week in a celebration of our fair state, we played Butter Princess by @oxsago.bsky.social! Hubristic, deeply flawed attendees at the Minnesota State Fair conspired and squabbled to steal the 90-pound butter bust portrait of the fairβs pageant queen, Princess Kay of the Milky Way. Huge fun!
I just know legendary people.
...and purchased three copies. I know some people who will love this.
Thanks for the kind words!
I'm supposed to remind you that there's just 8 hours left to back Pick Me on Kickstarter.
Also, there's a new creepy dressup doll character, because it's not Christmas without creepy dolls oozing goo.
36 hours left in the Pick Me TTRPG campaign. Packing assembly line is all in order.
A character card from the Pick Me game, featuring a toy vampire suspended upside down. His green skin contrasts with the pink times of a severed dollβs head he dangles from his claws.
Pick Me now has Liβl Helmouth, a gummy vampire, as a playable character.
Six character cards for Pick Me, with adorable toy illustrations on each. A purple race car, yellow dump truck, rainbow-colored stackable rings, a mantis shrimp with boxing gloves, a butterfly-winged warrior with Lewis chessman accompanying her, and an orange bear wearing a tiara.
Added a set of free printable pre-generated character cards to the KS campaign.

I brag about you and your work all the time. Youβre building a hell of a game empire and legacy.
Do you have a ttrpg that in your opinion is so under celebrated that you have appointed yourself head of the PR committee for that game? Where on at least one occasion someone mistakenly assumed you must have worked on it but really you're just unwell about it?
What's that game to you?
That someone conflates the trifecta of dairy farming, county fairs, and underfunded public education, and then points to the game I wrote just made my day.
Nice article about the origin of the game. mspmag.com/arts-and-cul...

I had the precious opportunity to work on interior illustrations forβͺ @rrookstudio.bsky.socialβ¬ 's "Dark Designs in Verdigris".
Brought back many childhood memories reading the original Oz books in the library.
Here's one of my images.
Birmingham ink and Blackwing pencil on Rives BFK paper.
It was a treat to be involved in illustrating this. Brought back childhood memories of checking out L. Frank Baum's books from the elementary school library. John R. Neill's illustrations certainly made an impression.
Technically ink, rather than watercolor.
From the Birmingham Ink Company, and diluted far below their usual intensity to get the look.
It was a delight to come up with these, reminiscing on childhood memories of Baumβs books and the small school library where I encountered them.
Verbs are dice rolls. Nouns are treasure. Prepositions are traps!
Van Helsing rapidly licking the candy cane to a point to use as a stake, but, as the candy cane gets more pointy, there's a risk of nicking his tongue, and then blood everywhere.
Grab this and play it. When the final game comes out, race to buy it. I'm super excited about every scrap I have read and played.
