Helen has been one of the most open and welcoming people in my discipline and has continued to remain so in spite of the ways that Philosophy cultivates assholes.

I'm pleased as punch that this award now exists.

We invite you to join us in honoring Professor Helen De Cruz for inspiring us and filling the world with wonder. We can think of no better candidate to recognize and no better event to spread the love.

We are excited to announce a new Cogtweeto initiative: The Helen De Cruz Wonder Award recognizing contemporary philosophers who have had significant positive impacts on others' lives through their holistic commitment to using philosophy to make the world better.

How it works: We will put out a call to share ways that the honoree has impacted the lives of others through their philosophical, personal, & professional work. A portion of each cogtweeto workshop will be dedicated to highlighting the honoree's contributions to the world. Submissions will be compiled & shared with the honoree after the workshop, may remain anonymous, & have the option to be shared aloud during the workshop.
