That is not in line with the statistics I have read, but regardless this isn’t a 1-to-1 since the artists who made the original Pokemon games are not getting paid from this lazy rerelease. Also, fuck Spotify, I think we’re in agreement there.

Artists make the bulk of their money at shows. This didn’t change the amount artists made as much as it changed the amount the record labels make. I’m not here to line the pockets of IP holders.

Pirating only exists because the current option is too expensive or too difficult to obtain. In this case the release is likely worse than even basic, accessible emulation to the everyday person AND it’s twice as much a lot of us expected.

Crazy to charge $20 for an incredibly easily accessible rom. Like a quick search and you can play this in your browser.

It wasn’t bad, fit in well with the series thus far and does tie into Legacy. But it has so much working against it: a bad choice for lead actor, no connection to the previous installments in the marketing, and the theme of AI which is not actually what the film is about. It’s unfortunate.

Tron: Ares was a fun, pretty movie. Not much substance but I don’t really enjoy Tron for its substance.
