A lot of folk are trying to spin this as “its gamers fault”, but I’m sorry, the game just wasn’t good, too many ideas all undercooked, maps designed with the scale of 8v8 in a 3v3 game, etc. Do I think the devs deserved this fate? No, but it’s not fair to blame players for not liking a game either.

The FBI believes the threat actor primarily targeted users between the timeframe of May 2024 and January 2026. In the investigation, several games have been identified to include, BlockBlasters, Chemia, Dashverse / DashFPS, Lampy, Lunara, PirateFi, and Tokenova. If you and/or your minor dependent(s) were victimized from installing one of these games or have information relevant to this investigation, please fill out this short form. last two threads are going to make people think that i ignore stories in games even though i talk about stories in games all the time and i am merely stating some exceptions to that rule as well as my reasons

storytelling in videogames is a whole topic to talk about on its own anyway. but not tonight, not on a college night where we have places to be tomorrow

but i will note that the plot for fatalis was really good and it helped that they straight up sent me to the ruins of castle schrade to fight it in the place its legend was born. that was well executed for me. the environment does a lot of lifting and i am experiencing a story, not being fed it

none of this applies to the "stories" series since i'll be playing it alone anyway but i thought it was worth bringing up because of the rest. my thoughts on the story were skipped in world and in wilds when i talked about both games because the plot wasn't really relevant to me

definitely don't want to say the monster hunter games "have no story" because that isn't true. the story just happens to be in all of the cutscenes that are either skipped or talked over. at some point i will surely watch a recap of the games and their timeline

the problem i have with games in general but monster hunter especially is that if they are multiplayer and they have 20 minutes of cutscenes, it leaves me with a lot of pressure because i don't want to risk the people i'm playing with being bored and i feel like i have to hurry up to the game asap

none of you need to worry about posting spoilers around me since i'm not that attached to the narrative of monster hunter yet (to tell the truth, much of it is skipped since i play multiplayer) and doubt that stories spoilers will make me too upset. just make sure the poogies are mine to post

the good news is that i do intend to play through the monster hunter stories games soon which will mean more poogie posts. and the greater news is that this thread will start with stories 1 and stories 2 and will avoid any spoilers for stories 3 which is coming out this week

i tried to lean into it in the thread which is why we got the "slop stare" as the third entry, but it is very difficult to do much more than that. i have problems with wilds as a whole but poogie is one of the most major. we need a poogie update from capcom as soon as possible

feeling bad for how short the poogie thread in wilds was but the problem is that they ruined him in that game. he looks worse, he is in less areas and he lacks clothing and the ability to carry him. he is a lot less expressive and he doesn't even chase you around anymore

while i was archiving a few more of my poogie posts, i noticed that they are trying to save as .webp now instead of .jpg as they did before which makes it more difficult to keep the collection consistent and i am turning to manually making them match

was worrying because i know i have around a hundred hours and did all achievements (admittedly had help from a friend with a save file which was able to fill a few i locked myself out of) and was worried i was going to get called out for playing it which has happened with some games i own LOL
