But sure, also brag about how soon you'll also put on another rager.
And all your neighbours want to punch you and your friends in the face for doing it and disrupting the neighbourhood AGAIN.
Countries like Cuba, under sanction from the US, had to develop systems of maintaining and self-modifying old equipment to get by. Congrats America, guess you thought that approach worked so well you're now doing it to yourselves π.
Unintentionally stimulating Canadian and Mexican border cities by using them as pass-throughs to avoid and minimize these outrages tarriff fees will be the funniest outcome of this whole ridiculous situation.
Just figured out where these fake tariff rates come from. They didn't actually calculate tariff rates + non-tariff barriers, as they say they did. Instead, for every country, they just took our trade deficit with that country and divided it by the country's exports to us. So we have a $17.9 billion trade deficit with Indonesia. Its exports to us are $28 billion. $17.9/$28 = 64%, which Trump claims is the tariff rate Indonesia charges us. What extraordinary nonsense this is.
james surowiecki has discovered where the completely fabricated trump tariff rate has come from for each country
"...for every country, they just took our trade deficit with that country and divided it by the country's exports to us."

Moreover, the one resource we desperately need to defy an authoritarian regime is TIME. And even if we canβt always stop them, we can stall for time. We can force them to drag it out. We can make them burn their precious resources on having to slow down and reset repeatedly. Time is a win.
America's self immolating delusion that blanketly killing off, deporting, and firing swaths of people will somehow lead to increased purchasing power and record corporate gains is equal parts fascinating in its idiocy and unbearably morbid to an outside observer.
What's disturbing and i hadn't realized is how much of the other percent just try to ignore the lie or pretend its theatre, until it's directly affecting them.
There's an old stat I cant find again for the life of me - you can convince 30%+ of a society's ppl to go along w/ ANYTHING stated by an authority figure (post WWII experiment? tested w/ obviously false math answers being told repeatedly were correct) Seems to repeatedly hold true in modern context.
SCOOPβTrump plans to issue an executive order designating fentanyl as a "Weapon of Mass Destruction," per copy of EO reviewed by me. Source at State speculates purpose is to designate cartels as terrorist orgs/justify military ops in Mexico/Canada.

Hey Maine, Vermont, Washington, New York, Massachusetts, Oregon.... the line is artificial, come on up.
We have healthcare, gun control, rank higher on nearly every metric, and our judicial system is built to provide actual checks and balances.

....which Russia stole wholesale from America, using secret [ie totally made up] WMD labs to justify military action during the war in Iraq.
We know where this goes, and we cannot take it lightly.

Can you say for sure theyβll do something? No.
Do you take it seriously? Hell yes.

I wonder if America realizes that trust in America won't be rebuilt just by voting for a president with a different approach, if the threat of the current kind of president being elected is always looming.

Need to expand the market for lumber? Build the houses Canada's been kneecapping itself over.
Need to expand the market for Canadian steel and metals? Build the high-speed rail system.
Multiple solutions are at our fingertips if we just muster the basic courage to do them.
