happy womenβs day to all the star wars women but specially the ones that were mistreated by the franchise and its fanbase, you all make star wars better
Hey, you know how much you enjoy Bridgerton whenever it has a new season, while many other streaming shows just leave you wanting more?
Let's talk about why the show works so well and what sets it apart from the rest - for everyone involved

My hot take is that everyone says schools don't teach you how to do your taxes, but the way you do your taxes is to hang on to important paperwork and then follow the directions on a form while performing arithmetic, which actually is what they spend a fair amount of time teaching.
Yeah, like the point is that star wars makes merch of everyone who appears on screen for like 1 second, so you can learn their names and backstory if you're so inclined
Not that it's a funny name to dismiss all characters
I'm making a video on why it's a perfect show, technically speaking, because I'm tired of people's nonsense
Also the idea that Rey is such a bad character that any character remotely similar is bad by association makes me want to shake people
The way folks have let themselves be gaslit by the discourse is so aggravating
listen i love ao3 as much as the next guy but ive seen people quit fic writing over the past few years because people comment and engage with authors way less, and then everyone still freaks out when ao3 goes down- if a fic is irreplaceable to u, let the author know!
University faculty love to talk about their work and usually like recruiting more people into it. You could give the specific college a call and the secretary will be able to tell you who best to approach for a discussion
When I talk to my mom abbot chatgpt, she declared that it's full of demons
Which sounds correct to me tbh
Hey, have you noticed how Natasha Romanoff consistently saves people but that's not what gets the emphasis? In fandom or in the movies
Let's talk about that and how tragedies should work

It doesn't look like it, but he was in talks to make a batfleck movie. Probably scrapped now?
Stop giving that man things to ruin 2k26
Natasha Romanoff is one of founding Avengers and was part of the MCU for over ten years
Let's talk about what makes her stand out as a female superhero and how that has changed over the years

Oh yeah, π―
I pretty much can only click on star wars videos if I'm okay with hearing something that upsets me π
Already got one idiot in the comments, come join the fun
I know most of y'all are star wars girlies, but please check out my new video series fueled by spite, a deep dive into the ladies of the MCU
Because just because fandom ignores female characters doesn't mean they're not interesting and worth talking about

Yeah, that's why I did it myself, which I recommend!
Gotta take back video essays fr

Just watched Charade with my mom. I havenβt seen it since high school and I loved it then.
Audrey Hepburn, Carey Grant, Walter Matthau in a very Hitchcock-esque film.
Even if you figure out who the bad guy is early on, itβs still a great film!
In a new series, let's talk about women in the MCU
We'll get into what makes Pepper Potts feel like a real person, how she defeats villains, and how she changes in each appearance

Story endings for female characters have been rough lately
Let's talk about where most franchises fail and where one succeeds
or four times the ending was disappointing and the one time it wasn't

Probably because one is the best show of the streaming era, using the format to its advantage to explore complex character dynamics with fulfilling resolutions
And the other is andor
I'm rather partial to
"People don't just crawl into window seats and die!"
"No, he died first"
Though admittedly it doesn't come up often
I've been watching some Audrey movies lately and honestly charade gives her so many fun things to do, I think it might be her best
Cary is great, too, obviously, but I do prefer Arsenic and old lace for him
Yep
In light of everything that happened WRT to the 4chan connection to Epstien and how it formed into the hell we're in today:

Rose Tico summing up what Star Wars is actually about was a fairly significant factor in the hate. Like yes racism, but people like to put their own morals/reads onto Star Wars and when you have a character just say what it's about plainly, it makes it harder to do that.
