Concerning
DHS should be embarrassed that their ICE agent hires are so soft they canβt handle being videotaped, even while masked, so they resort to pepper spraying women at close range.
And we should be proud of the Santa Barbara women who stood their ground anyway.
Elon Musk, Jeffrey Epstein and Woody Allen on a Carribean island at Christmastime?

βLadies and gentlemen of the jury, Iβm just a simple country lawyer. My client, Global Solutions Holdings Conglomerate, LLC is an honest business just trying to turn a profit and put food on the plates for its shareholders. There was no breach of contract here!β
I really want to see someone doing the βIβm just a simple country lawyerβ shtick, but in complex federal commercial litigation between two or more multinational corporations. I feel like that would be a good bit.
That is an ICE agent pepper spraying a restrained victim in the face at close quarters; it's an unquestionable and indefensibly abusive use of excessive force that should (but won't) be criminally prosecuted as assault
Ahh, okay, so one of the federal agencies will not be challenging the merger. Good to know.
@nmdoj.bsky.social, care to use your Clayton Act authority and step up to protect competition in the film industry?
A 21-year old anti-ICE protester has been left permanently blinded in California after a Department of Homeland Security agent shot him in the face with a nonlethal round at point-blank range on Friday. trib.al/V6hRQpr
The video also allegedly shows the CBP agent saying βDo something, bitchβ before shots were fired. In private Signal chats, the CBP agent boasted to other officers: βI fired 5 rounds and she had 7 holes. Put that in your book boys.β If he felt comfortable enough communicating that to fellow employees, it speaks to an irredeemable organizational culture.
This is the second time in three months a DHS agent called a US citizen a "bitch" as he shot her. donmoynihan.substack.com/p/whos-threa...
The past couple days have made it clear that arresting and prosecuting Johnathan Ross isnβt just the right thing to do, it is necessary to prevent future violence by ICE who have interpreted the situation as βwe can do that to whoever we wantβ
A woman recording an ICE agent tells him "Shame on you."
The agent responds, "Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?"
"Learned what?" she asks
Then he knocks her phone out of her hand
Itβs beyond insane that our overarching internal security agency has spent months tweeting barely-coded messages of support for neo-Nazi groups and the entire media apparatus looks at it and says βThatβs odd but certainly not part a major story that is relevant to current events, Iβm sureβ
This is right, but I'd add that #1 is only unclear because of a pretty perverse line of authority that doesn't need to be that way.
She voted to confirm a Trump judge just yesterday.
Abolishing ICE is the moderate, compromise solution.
I really appreciate Christopher Nolan just honing in on his target demo.
BREAKING: At least 16 files from the Epstein release disappeared from DOJ's webpage, including a photo of Trump, with no explanation.
Give it a couple weeks and Andrew Ferguson and the other FTC folks will be fabricating a coordinated advertiser boycott
Yes, whiteness will adapt however it needs to maintain hegemony.
Just an unbelievably stupid comment.
Even if you buy into the framing of demand, it has an essentially vertical demand curve. People will become homeless before they stop βconsumingβ healthcare because that is a rational choice! Because the alternative is *dying*!
Absolutely brutal.
GLASHEEN: Antifa is our primary concern right now. That's the most immediate violent threat we're facing
BENNIE THOMPSON: Where is antifa headquartered?
GLASHEEN: ... ... ... we are building out the infrastructure right now
THOMPSON: What does that mean?
My initial reaction is that this has likely been true for a long time, but the advent of social media influencers in all these fields makes being famous seem so much more attainable than just doing a good job at the actual job and so more people pursue fame.
Congrats on the thing! But more importantly, congrats on a delicious bagel.
You have no understanding of the concepts youβre discussing.
You have to have an extremely low level of empathy and compassion to become a billionaire in the first place (canβt get there without exploiting many people).
But to then have the resources to legitimately treat people like commodities you control⦠it must genuinely deteriorate your humanity.
