Where I live the national socialist issues in Ukraine aren’t common knowledge. I told someone that reading headlines + vibes + no research might lead to supporting national socialists in Ukraine. Their facial expression is haunting me. Like they thought I lost it & were too polite to point it out
Nor interested in socialism. It’s about as left as AOC, Mamdani etc. There’s a ML party that in 2025 ran on the slogan Make Socialism Great Again while declaring all and any socialist countries as failures / traitors.
It the same in Germany. The communist party was banned in the 1950s in West Germany. The collapsed GDR was folded into the FDR at great loss. Later the Linke (left) party was created by a social democrat and a couple of former GDR politicians. The Linke is not antiimperial.
