Eventually the 110 yo homes will have new infrastructure. It's good news.

We've replaced our roof, boxed gutters, all interior plumbing, electrical. Plus I've refinished oak floors twice.

I'm physically able to do this stuff. I'm nearing the threshold and getting bored of it.

Too many notes. I've been documenting my homelab/selfhosted quests since I started the journey. Several years later I now have loads of .md notes, images, etc. Organization of my docs is shit. Cleanup might be painful but necessary.

I've been thinking of #transitioning a server (former gaming PC) back to a gaming PC. Ryzen 7 5700x, 2 GPU, 32gb ram + Spare Unraid license = utilized it as a game/emu server. At one point I had HDMI/USB plumbed to my kids bedrooms for full remote. But college happened.

I love Nobara. And the docs are solid. A few things i'd suggest if you're gonna spin it up:

Avoid updating w/ dnf. Updating the OS can lead to hate. Hate leads to suffering.

Mostly agree. If I'm honest with myself, my desktop environment is more important than the distribution itself. I can't quit KDE. Especially after learning how to backup dotfiles to recreate my setup

I dual boot Nobara for gaming and CachyOS for dd stuff.

I'm a rabid distro hopper, though. By next week my dd OS will more than likely change but Nobara is a constant presence.
