I feel seen.
I feel seen.
Of all the things that have never happened, this right here is the one that never happened the most.
After murdering Good in broad daylight and cold blood, the regime and its minions have slandered Good, declared Good to be a domestic terrorist, mocked the memory of Good, claimed that Good "had it coming" and more.
Were this fiction, it would be dismissed as heavy-handed.
Singer, songwriter, painter, photographer -- & freshman physics student at NC State University at age 55. Truly, Jonathan Byrd contains multitudes. Read all about it in my latest for Orange County Arts Commission.

Thanks so much for this -- which I am just now seeing! Really appreciate it. Let me know if you'd like one of these buttons, I'd be happy to send it your way.
Look up Ken Yates. I'm also partial to Beach Fossils, start with "Down the Line" and this one:

Hard news today, Sugar Hill Records founder Barry Poss has died at age 79. Truly, one of the finest music-industry folks I've ever met. You can tell how much I thought of Barry by how often I quoted him (a lot). I'll miss him terribly.

Word to bsky.app/profile/dsha... -- I've been working on a story updating the cast of the 74-75 video 50 years after graduation. That will be in the June issue of Walter magazine.
Attention, anyone in the vicinity of Durham, NC -- come on out to the main Durham public library on Roxboro Road, 3pm today (Saturday, 4/12/2025) for a cool program about North Carolina music. I'll have buttons to give away, and even books to sell!
And look what just showed up in the mail, a few copies of the book we'll be talking about (and selling, I hope!).
@dmenconi.bsky.social & @paulfriedrich.bsky.social, 2 Raleigh pop culture icons, scheduled for author events the same week in June @quailridgebooks.bsky.social ? Yes please!
