Long but fruitful day. Evaluation strategies and ABCD in Peterborough and then Board meeting with great Birmingham community organisation
Facilitated regeneration residents steering group yesterday evening talking planning processes and study visits
Brilliant final session of this cohorts Introduction to ABCD. So great to hear people at the end saying they felt inspired, encouraged, knowledgable - love delivering these and so get in touch if I can do this for you!
One of our shorter conversations. After catching up with the head of @econjusticebrum a mere four hours on a number of pieces of work including Economic Justice with the incredible @agramoffred. To be honest we only stopped because they closed!
I know some of you have missed these travelling posts so off on a train to Peterborough to talk all things ABCD and evaluation for United Communities. Bringing learning from people Iβve had the joy of collaborating with on ABCD projects.
What a table! At the beginning of the tournament I had France top but unbeaten and Wales bottom but feels like a really exciting topsy turvy tournament with England going backwards, Ireland being where they were, Italy and Scotland improving #sixnationsrugby
I donβt know what to say. Key issues for England, discipline and relying on a kicking game for attack. If we are beaten by France next week then coach has to go. Italy though are so improved and going to win 2/3 games in the Championship #sixnationsrugby
Wow Scotland! I thought France were nailed on for a grand slam but that was a magnificent performance. Scottish fans youβve got to be gutted with that first game against Italy but youβre still playing for the Championship next week #sixnations
Wales are improving, Ireland only ok but just too strong #sixnationsrugby
First race of the season, new regulations, what did we make of it all?
A privilege to deliver Intro to ABCD for Pioneers this weekend. @anjibarker helped them explore the neighbourhood and experience a community Iftar. Finished with indigenous church experience exploring living water.
Day spent in Maypole - visiting the youth centre to plan potential alternative education provision, follow up conversation over coffee, few emails and phone calls plus the delight of time with @philiphoppner
Thatβs Palace safe but itβs pretty unbelievable that Spurs are just one point above the relegation places. They play teams like Forest and West Ham in the run in but at the moment they just look like a team thatβs completely lost and canβt see where itβs next victory is coming from #premierleague
One of my pieces of work is facilitating @econjusticebrum and so it was great to meet up with one of the movement with some great creative thoughts about how we can engage people in exploring green investments
We are expiring what community enterprise looks like in our community. Great to have some help exploring 3 core possibilities with exciting if challenging possibilities
Breakfast with @ifor.jones.77985
Doing some coaching with the wonderful Amer, passionate about setting up a CiC to enable Dads to explore parenting habits, rituals, attachment, emotional regulation and being a great male role model for their sons.
Planning next @econjusticebrum gathering with a workshop on Birminghams Investment Strategy with the excellent Conrad Parke of the Anchor Network. Come and join us on the 24th March
Afternoon spent with my fellow co-conspirator Paul and wonderful colleagues from Pioneer Housing Association with second meeting including a really cooperative Council Officer. All around housing, employment and our local community.
Day spent at Blues - Birmingham City Football Club developing their education and skills offers followed by complimentary match tickets. Just a shame about the result!
We are down in Kent for the weekend so new place for Coco to do his Sunday morning walk.
Lovely afternoon with Shannon, Bradley, Coco, Iona and little Max!
Great meeting planning what having vulnerable pupils in AP would look like here
A great morning with @econjusticebrum and Professor Anne Green trying to get to grips with the cities social and economic and how that might or might not be one that is inclusive and just. If itβs not, what we can do about it. Come to our next gathering 24th March
Competitive four games of squash that ended in an honourable 2-2 draw followed by meal and catch up with @craigbird77
He may look crazy and to some extent he is but in a great way. Yesterday afternoon we reviewed our Change Maker program delivery and planned for the future with some of our key neighbourhood partners. Also met to look at an exciting joint venture with our friends at United Communities
Wonderful morning with @beaumont734 talking all things social economy and economic justice network. Potential collaborative plan emerging!
Lovely meal out with Ria, Iona and Isla
