Hair proofing my home seems to have become a necessity. It's like baby proofing but for my hair so it stops getting caught on doorhandles and fastenings on the backs of chairs and cupboard doors

Woke up with an extra large serving of pain today. Still gonna try to stream but probably be in a couple of hours after I've done the pain management stuff (as usual please trust me to know what I need and don't backseat my health by telling me to rest, thank you) 💜

Does anyone actually know anyone who does sleep well? I can't think of anyone I know professing to zero sleep difficulties

But my hair was down for that conversation and a grey streak has been falling near my face lately so that's probably a clue! They all seem so very young and adorable. I wish I knew if they had a cat but I haven't seen one and kiwis don't tend to keep their cats indoors 💔

My new upstairs neighbours invited me to party at their place. I assume it's just to be friendly and make it less likely I'll complain to the landlord (they offered their number to text if it's too loud) but I'm no narc. I do feel vaguely curious about how old they think I am

There is a hunger in this world for kindness. There is an appetite for mutual care and respect. Some are too nauseated to accept it due to all the pain they've been subjected to but it's still needed. It doesn't get fanfare but people do notice. It does mean a lot to people ❤️‍🩹

It's just so distasteful to me when people are asked not to use body shaming or other bigoted insults & they get upset because they don't want to stop using them. It's always going to be more accurate to describe & criticize someone's behaviour over anything else for there's no need for insults

I've been using a meditation app for years and it started sending me reminders a few months ago so I finally turned that off lol the apps that send marketing notifications are the worst, tho

Idk I feel like people who are desperate to hold on to insults...why do you need to have so many ways to insult people? I'd rather understand people than condemn or judge them but that's just me

There's 75 steps to my door from the street. Upstairs neighbours probably have about 2 dozen more. When new people move in upstairs their footsteps are very loud at first on ascending but eventually they become much lighter. It's funny how disruptive little details like that are

I kind of respect the "pee is stored in the balls" meme because that's a bit like vengeful bad anatomy after many decades of men saying uteruses wonder around our bodies like ghosts or that we can control miscarriage or hold in menstrual fluid
