Ugh yuck. Have you considered a Win11 ARM VM and run the VPN in that? I've done that for workplaces that mandate Windows+VPN. Microsoft's x86 translation is reasonable

Agreed - MacOS is my daily for personal, dev and occassional gaming, with a Fedora+Plasma VM for all work and network management. Great combo!
