Glad we share the same passion for watercolor starry nights and Dan Simmonsβ books! Thank you so much :)
My favorite sci-fi creature ever! You captured it perfectly.
Work-in-progress sketch of the Shrike from Dan Simmonsβ Hyperion Cantos. A tall, spiked, metallic creature covered in blades and thorns.
Iβve been working on this drawing of the Shrike from the Hyperion Cantos by Dan Simmons, one of my favorite sci-fi series. Still a WIP, just a sketch for now.
I recently heard that Dan Simmons passed away. I was very sorry to hear it...

What techniques do you use to add color? It looks a little shiny, almost sparkly.
Love your sketches, by the way. You make drawing expressive characters look so easy.
Delightfully disturbing. It truly gives me shivers!
I love the creatureβs design. It looks like a giant worm or centipede with pincers and arms. Very unconventional and delightfully disturbing!
Oh! Thank you so much for sharing the process. I feel a bit embarrassed because I didnβt know what a linocut was, but now that I understand your work better, Iβm completely amazed by the results. So beautiful!
I love the composition of this one. Itβs really clean. Did you paint the watercolor first and then add the ink for the background?
Thanks for the reminder! Just make sure itβs not the dirty paint water ;)
And nice first watercolor try! Adding a few more layers on the tower could help it get darker and stand out more from the background. Keep up the good work!
Watercolor illustration of tropical plants and flowers. Looks like a vintage garden tablecloth.
A few tropical plant watercolors I made once. Not my usual subject, but learning to paint also means studying the world around us.

Watercolors, starry nights⦠your style really speaks to me. Definitely a favorite!
Wow, so peaceful! It reminds me of my spring hikes when the crocuses start blooming. Lovely!
Well, whatever techniques you used, the effect is beautifully done and the painting really catches the eye.
I love the atmosphere of this piece. The space background is beautifully painted and really catches the eye!
I love the softness of the contrasts in this acrylic painting. Beautiful control of the colors.
I love the simplicity of the two-colors approach of this drawing. It creates such a magical atmosphere!
The light trees against the dark background look stunning. It almost feels like theyβre glowing.
Did you use fewer layers in the reflection to keep it darker?
Four small easels with different space scenes. Each one was painted for a special member of my family (my mother, father, brother, and sister).
I had a lot of fun painting these little planets on mini easels with acrylic paints.
Space scenes are definitely one of my main sources of inspiration.

Wow, your cat is incredibly talented. Clearly the real artist here. =P
I understand. Your work really deserves to find collectors, and your pieces are beautiful.
Your watercolor work is stunning. Honestly, your prices for original pieces feel incredibly affordable for this level of work.
You're welcome! I just realized after reading your description again that there are still more layers to add. So it might become even better. Wow!
Wow, itβs so intense! Do you start with a watercolor base and then add details with pastels and ink? How do you create that textured feeling?
I had to take a closer look to realize this was actually watercolor. The level of mastery is incredible. At first glance, it looks like a real animal.
Wow. The level of detail in this watercolor portrait is astonishing! The result is so clean. I've never reached that level of mastery in watercolor. So inspiring!
Death standing in the light in a Mary pose, I love the contrasts! x)
Both are beautiful in my opinion.
The watercolor is really clean β I actually thought it was digital at first glance.
Oh non ! Le post qui fait surgir tout droit des trΓ©fonds de mon inconscience une dΓ©faillance que je ne voulais pas regarder en face π₯²
I really enjoy painting with a wide range of blues.
Space is one of my biggest inspirations.
I painted this on a sunny afternoon in the garden.
Who can be this beautiful creature? π

Thank you so much for those explanations. That seems perfectly clear to me. I had to check what a βMr. Clean eraserβ is, but it seems I have one at home (the name in French is just different). Iβll give it a try this weekend. I think it could work perfectly for watercolor portraits as a background.π
