No es contradictorio: en un invierno con carácter cálido puede haber períodos de frío intenso.

Any political “leader” still selling the obviously false choice between #ClimateAction and “the economy” is just reminding us that they clearly don’t understand either the climate crisis OR the economy.
Or they’re cynically hope that WE don’t understand the difference.
Or both.
A huge 89% majority of global people [56% even in the United States] want stronger action to fight the #ClimateCrisis, but mistakenly believe they’re in a minority.
People want action. Smart cities are taking action. Nations should support city action.

This is a slight variation on a long-running argument used by people in Australia against #ClimateActionNow, despite us having high per-capita climate-damaging emissions and being in the top 1-3 exporters of coal and gas for years. Sad to see the German chancellor using it too.
Today there was a "high level" event featuring COP29 & COP30 presidents and other senior figures talking about the next steps for the "Baku to Belem roadmap" to $1.3tn
It also saw the major climate finance donors – EU🇪🇺 Japan🇯🇵 UK🇬🇧 – as well as China 🇨🇳 Kenya 🇰🇪 and Colombia 🇨🇴 offer their thoughts.

Manuel, me alegro de que compartamos que debemos hacer frente a la emergencia climática y estoy de acuerdo en que la tecnología, únicamente, no basta. También lo dice el IPCC. Pero tu interpretación del informe de la AAE no es correcto, como han indicado anteriormente: bsky.app/profile/dpal...

Es exactamente lo contrario: a mayor temperatura, mayores impactos económicos. Los estudios económicos han mostrado que los costes económicos de hacer actuar frente al #cambioclimático es mucjo menor que no hacer nada para evitarlo y sufrir sus consecuencias.
