Wolfgang Hammer: „Ich habe mich, als ich im April 2013 in Rente ging, mit einigen Müttern und auch mit älteren Kindern getroffen und kam 2019 in meiner ersten Studie zu dem Schluss, dass wir hier ein strukturelles Problem haben. Danach kamen immer mehr Menschen auf mich zu. Seit meiner zweiten Studie führe ich eine Strichliste.“
3 taz: Was läuft falsch an Familiengerichten? Hammer: „Der Streit um das Sorgerecht wird oft einseitig zulasten der Kinder und Mütter entschieden. Gerichte und Jugendämter lassen sich von wissenschaftlich widerlegten Mythen leiten. Da ist von zu enger Mutter-Kind-Beziehung die Rede, mit der Unterstellung, das gefährde das Kindeswohl und man müsse beide trennen.“
