There's lots of humor in the Astra Idari Trilogy. It's one of my favorite parts of the series, and a welcome contrast with the often very serious stakes in a cosmic battle between light and darkness.

Idari absolutely believes in luck, which she benefits from quite a bit throughout the entire trilogy. Emera is far more invested in fate, easy to see given she's a cosmic being who can perceive time in a way no one else can.
