I put on a fair whack of weight after starting insulin therapy so definitely have them.
It's a privilege of cis male-ism that this is probably the first time in my life I've thought about stretch marks.
was au naturel back int'day. p smoochable unlike captain I Am The Night
ok, solid plan but, hear me out.
you could make a smoothie with one.
If y'all don't want John Oliver let him come back home to do more of The Bugle.

I cannot emphasize enough that these people are being laid off for failing to do things that are literally impossible
Here, have another cry.

Bank OF America, which leads me to think they're doing another meme thing. :T
i love Dutch
one slight annoyance with being a diabetic is Americans - most anglophones on the internet - use a different blood glucose measurement to half of the world. So american diabetics and doctors online are always talking about ranges like 72-324mg/dl and I'm like so...4-18mmo/l then?
I would say have the bar appear on screen about 1-2 seconds earlier so players have a chance to focus their eyes on it before it starts moving, perhaps flash the moving icon in place 3x to count down before it starts moving.
Reminded of Pride Marches going full Corpo with their gated off events
Shirts you probably won't find in the UK.
I made the mistake of looking up Leon in the RE wiki, ya boy has been up to A LOT outside of RE2 and RE4.
This week on my hybrid closed loop insulin pump has had a dramatic effect lowering my BG levels already. The guilt of not mastering the pen therapy is still there though, as a machine and algorithm takes over control from me.
45% in-range already. Incredible tech.
Me too. 16 years on insulin pens
Mental calculations for insulin doses per gram of carb, exercise? Insulin on board? Hormonal changes? "Did you have high BG levels? It's because you failed at diabetes and you deserve the physical consequences" things you punish yourself over all the time, all day.
Moving over to a near-automated insulin pump reminded me all type 1 diabetics face a constant, life long shame and pressure for not having their BG levels under perfect control
Disordered eating, militant carb counting, pressure to not Fail is constant, the eye checks for impending Blindness too
Officially flying now, having solo changed my 3-day infusion set (stabbing myself with cannula applicator), injection filled my insulin reservoirs (no bubbles!) and managed a full takeaway dinner with only a short rise in BG levels. Nice!
If Scotland were to design a modern democratic constitution &, with it, return to the EU, then perhaps England would find a way to follow. My piece for @scotnational.bsky.social ahead of public meetings in Edinburgh & Glasgow next week - makehopepossible.org/tickets
Right, but Live Captioning is a default accessibility function in Windows 11 now, having that be mobile in the wider world would be a fantastic disability aid.
What I really personally hate about this is there was a use case for live captions for deaf people like me that could display in smart glasses
and these bloody animals have ruined the tech for everyone turning it all into surveillance, scamming and Zuckerberg voyeurism.
The need to input carb counts reminds me STRONGLY to be aware of carbs and not just guess.
I've already accidentally steered myself away from getting takeout doing this what the hell
The algorithm is still learning my BG patterns, such as the Morning Rise effect i get, so that will stabilise but also my current target is set to 9mmo, so as to not cause my eyes retinopathy damage by bringing my average down too fast.
But still, holy fuckin shit.
Gone from like 10% Time in Target Range to 43%. Highs are dealt with gradually without the roller coaster up down up down effect and All I've had to do with mealtimes is input a rough number of carbs consumed per meal and it does the rest, calculating doses taking current trajectory in mind
*Magic*
So i've switched over successfully to a Hybrid Closed Loop Insulin pump after 16 years on pen therapy.
It takes BG readings from a sensor on my arm and automatically adjusts the amount of insulin injected into my body in real time. Quite frankly, it's magic.
stalker enemies coming unexpected out of nowhere got tonnes of social media coverage and lots of streamers screaming into their cameras so i guess this is the default now?, is what I assumed at the time.
Maybe they're not as annoying nowadays? idk
want to join in on the resi 9 hype but once the Stalker type wandering enemies started appearing in RE2 Remake (OG RE3 wasn't nearly as bad) I stopped playing them, i dislike them as a tension mechanic. random appearances stressing ammo and supplies, random rather than scripted tension.
