People talking about his partnership with Onana are only seeing part of the picture. How he links with the defence and GK were always his biggest strength, and crucially, those players remain much the same as before. His link up with Watkins was always strong too, not to mention dead balls

Maybe (hopefully) he's spent the last 18 months learning that lesson and comes back focused and determined. It's clear we need bodies and ideally people who understand Emery and his approach. If he comes back it's because he wants to and Emery welcomes him.
