Again, as with Guardian article, Mahmood's reliance on false/deliberately misleading claims about her "earned settlement" proposals suggests that she knows she can't defend them on the merits, in principle or in practice.
Trump threatened to impose a trade embargo on Spain after it refused to let the U.S. military use its bases for the illegal and insane war on Iran. Trump has also used false pretexts to start it.
The EU should now unanimously condemn these attacks and prohibit the US from using any of its bases.
Doing this for the approval of a few broadsheet columnists and a bunch of imaginary voters who'll never vote for you anyway is terrible politics. There are no winners here.
