I doubt I will ever witness a better description of pheasants than the time I heard a ten-year-old call them "fashion chickens".

Can you do me a quick favour today? ✍️

The government is finally asking if they should ban cages for hens in the UK. 🐔🐔 Lobbyists are trying to block it, so we need huge numbers to show them that the public wants this ban NOW: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/en...

Trump has now explicitly affirmed the right to choose or veto leaders in Venezuela, Iraq, Iran, Honduras and Argentina, and implicitly Brazil and various European countries.

This is a direct violation of sovereignty and self-determination, which are bedrock foundations of any international order.

After losing in court one can now safely mention that the Müller brand of milk products is owned by an AfD (Germany's officially declared "extreme right wing" party) supporting billionaire. Whose giant family relocated to Switzerland in 2003 btw, to avoid 30% inheritance tax when he passes.

Keir Starmer when you were running for Labour leader you promised to introduce this legislation to stop the UK being dragged into illegal wars - it's time to show you were serious about that.

Honestly, I’m surprised the figure is as high as 37%! I don’t think Keir Starmer could have messed up more if he had tried… It must take a truly special talent to go from the golden opportunity of a landslide election win to destroying your party while causing untold damage to your country.

The sort of religious nutters you might once have seen in the street, with 'The end is nigh' placards and a crazed look in their eye, now seem to have control of the most powerful military that has ever existed.

Utterly terrifying.

Losing large ocean predators
When this marlin swam in the Indian Ocean in the late 1800s, the world's seas were teeming with life. But, since industrialised fishing began in the 1950s, the number of large predators such as marlin, tuna and sharks has plummeted by 90%.
Scientists at the Natural History Museum are helping to survey huge new protected areas of ocean surrounding British overseas territories.
This work supports the United Nations pledge set out in 2023 to protect a third of the world's oceans from overfishing.

Do not allow the USA to use British military bases for strikes on Iran, and give MPs a vote in Parliament. I just signed the campaign calling to tell Prime Minister Keir Starmer: do not allow the USA to use British military bases for strikes on Iran

This is an illegal, unprovoked and brutal attack that shows once again that the USA and Israel are rogue states.

The UK must end our cosy relationship with the USA and our ongoing support for Israel.

Muslims voting for a female plumber, in a party led by a gay Jewish guy, who ran on policies and talking points like decriminalisation, abolishing the monarchy and ensuring justice comes for the bloodshed in the holy land. Does not get much better.

Combined, these cancers account for around a fifth of cancer deaths in the UK. Continue reading...
