Hopefully you can go at some point but sadly may magnificent historical masterpieces including the incredible chehel apron have been destroyed

lol. thanks for sharing this
The picture above was from our yard ~2 years ago and this is typical of trees/leaves pic emerging from a nearby neighborhood in Tehran today π
Correctβ¦.but the persimmons and figs are so much sweeter in Tehran
Breaks my heart that all those trees are likely covered by oil soot π
If you are air traveling in US, please thank the TSA agents for coming to work despite not getting paid
Agree and everyone must read this new book:

In case you were too busy to keep up with the war news, Khamenei was replaced with Khamenei
All those Khamenei for Supreme Leader car stickers and t-shirts from 37 years ago can be recycled
I am yet to be convinced he is alive and well. Apparently he was badly injured? But how bad and was his frontal lobe hit?
Thank you. This post made my day
Today, on International Women's Day, I, a human woman, want you to know there is a type of sea cucumber called the Headless Chicken Monster
Shocking that the son of a leader would be chosen to replace his father. On this #InternationalWomensDay I would have thought they would choose a woman π
Optimistic to think it will be reversible even after a few decades
An utterly bleak picture of the future of academic science in America
Pardon a scientist analysis of the war but this outlines why there will be ground (special) forces in Iran to remove β18 to 20 canisters" containing ~1000 pounds of highly enriched uranium ...unless IRGC surrenders, which if you know the Shia mindset, they never will www.nytimes.com/2026/03/07/o...
Surreal and sad beyond comprehension to see this familiar freeway in Tehran burning
One of these days Iβll make it to Singapore
Iβm so glad someone finally brought this up. Iran is a natural massive fortification. If you look at the campaigns through history that have attempted to invade Persia, youβll see that theyβve never been easy and have often worked out very badly.
It is indeed the most stunning country (I did not even mention the gorgeous beaches) and I hope in the near future it is a peaceful and safe place for visitors from all over the world
Correct, and may I note with a much higher literacy rate: ~90% vs Texas's 80%
Yes the salt glacier domes of Iran are unique in the world
I know! But it could be :)
you mean Caspian lake? It is landlocked so difficult for US navy to get there! But I assume you were joking
a little different than Iraq crossing some of those mountain ranges β·οΈ
Speaking of ground troops, time for a geography lessonπ€
The magnificent Iranian plateau is super rugged with massive northeast & southwest running mountain ranges with both ice and (rare) salt glaciers but also two expansive salt deserts (one being one of the hottest spots on earth)
Coffee, straight out of my nose.

Many Christians like myself believe Christian & secular morality are the same (Romans 2:15).
Hegseth's Christian supremacy is a relative of white supremacy.
