The large tortoiseshell was declared extinct in Britain decades ago.
Now Butterfly Conservation staff consider it resident again.
It’s unclear if it’s just migrating more (climate) or also over wintering (helped by young, alive elms), & how many are captive bred releases.

Went into this expecting/ hoping for a cathartic revenge fantasy but what I got was much more nuanced and ultimately more interesting. Really cool little movie with a hell of a character in Arthur. Graham Greene's performance is stellar. Recommend.
