All you have to do is say “Medicare for all” and those kind of people will praise you as a policy genius.

True, but those people were blithering idiots. You’d be lucky to have any jury anywhere be thoughtful or considerate enough to parse a difference between guilty of what they did (asinine clusterfuck that involved someone getting shot) and how the govt framed it.

Giving the public ROW over to driveway access is inefficient.

Those people were absolute jackass idiots though. Faced with that stupidly a jury isn’t going to parse if they were a certain category of idiots.

SF Chronicle piece:
Speed cameras generated tickets sent to more than 16,500 drivers in San Francisco in August, the first month those tickets came with fines, according to data from SFMTA — more than 600 a day.

That’s good for more than $1.2 million in fines, if they are all paid in full.

The speed camera citations come at a critical time for street safety. Speeding is the leading cause of deadly collisions, and last year, 42 people were killed in car crashes in the city — the highest number in almost two decades. At the same time, San Francisco police have come under fire for what critics say is a lack of traffic enforcement after ticket numbers plummeted during the pandemic and have stayed relatively low.

Compellingly, San Francisco saw a *huge* (~75%) drop-off in speeding just two months after the cameras went in, even when they were still sending warnings!

Now, SF has gone from 12k warnings/day at the start of the program to just 600 tickets/day. A 95% drop in illegal speeding!

Friendly reminder that the spicy noodles are not your enemy and deserve your protection. This little man was next to our check-in point, so he was moved just a little further away, into protective cover. Northern Pacific Rattlesnake. #herps

You’re like, 19 at the most, right? You should at the very least look up words before making an argument based on their definition.

Who’s talking about propaganda? Sowing unrest is its own goal. But yes, of course propaganda could be used to try to advance something indirect or a specific goal.

fight cops, and they were. The protestors, as evidenced by the OP, thought they were being oppressed bc the city wanted to keep some streets open for emergencies and wanted to preserve safety. That mindless activist mindset where fighting with rules/authority is the purpose and the goal.

people were there to peaceably protest and didn’t have enough cops on hand because he was all about working with the community and what-not and it didn’t occur to him to have as many cops as possible. He thought better of the protestors, his sin was thinking they weren’t there to performatively

And as I’ve mentioned before the crowd was ECSTATIC when those first gas canisters were launched. The police chief was not criticized for finally dispersing people, he was criticized for letting things get out of hand, which occurred because he thought everyone would be cool. He took the view that

13.03.2026 01:07 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

This is not true. I was there, the police chief was sure everyone would be cool, they were extremely accommodating only requiring a few certain streets to remain clear, they only dispersed people when the vast mobs (who were 100% focused on harassing the police) refused to clear them..

Social media makes it extremely easy to live in an alternate reality. Back in the day you had to watch Fox News 12 hours a day to get so confidently stupid.

Uh, yes, it’s cheap and easy to flood social media with bots for the sole purpose of riling people up and sowing discord.

How is that person no one has ever heard of “Democrats?”

13.03.2026 00:45 👍 7 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 1

Well you see Biden oppressed everyone that he didn’t elevate or accommodate to the full extent of his power.

I was there. No one who wanted to attend classes, which were the majority of students, could do so, and education is kind of the point of these things we call colleges and universities, not providing a base of operations for protests demanding a certain brand of hummus to be removed from campus.

13.03.2026 00:42 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

Do you believe the nonsense you’re saying or are you just saying it because you hate the democrats. (Say ‘both’ to win a prize)

Politicians foster themselves. They find supporters that way. You’re talking about hand picking successors. That’s not how it usually works and not how it should work. If someone in their 20s w no qualifications gets lucky and wins an election, fine, but that is not something to facilitate.

He’s from Spain?? A Spaniard comparing histories… good lord. Spain is currently up in its cups on being the most woke. They allowed protestors to ruin the Vuelta (big bike race) last year because a team was named Israel Premier Tech (not sponsored by 🇮🇱). No protests of UAE sponsored team tho.

Yeah but putting aside all of that he’s also not remotely qualified for the job.
