This is all to say that this show is placed firmly in my top 2 romance shows ever. If they make more it'll probably almost definitely take the crown from Oregairu, but we'll have to wait and see on that

It is a bonafide miracle Cloverworks aired this and My Dress-Up Darling S2 in the same season. I’ve always loved them, but these two have shot them into one of my all-time favourite studios

And as I said a couple days ago, this looks unbelievable. The complex art style and gorgeous animation with vibrant colours and fluidity really stand out, accentuating character acting and subtleties in visual subtext

The OP and ED are both two of my favourite ever. Complimenting each other with perfect harmony, but not only that, supplementing the show’s thematics and inspirations to make it feel like a true passion project from Cloverworks

While I didn’t love the dub overall, I kept watching it dubbed because it has Robbie Daymond’s best performance potentially ever as Rintaro, and when Robbie Daymond is firing on all cylinders, you sit your ass down and listen. It reminded me why I became such a huge fan of him with Akechi

Even the supporting cast are immaculate. Subaru is a genuine delight and I really hope she gets more focus going forward because she captivated me whenever she was on screen

And the boys are just the boys, man. The vibes and chemistry are crazy goddamn good with this cast
