i like the concept of nakedness and vulnerability. evoking that type of imagery despite it literally not being LIke That at all... i like that. it's sweet and private and intimate. just a moment between two people on the verge of being honest with each other

shortest fic was my jingheng LNY one shot sitting at 1,869 words. the longest fic, excluding my current longfic wip, is my other jingheng fic sitting at 11,815 words. jh you are so loved lmfao

i personally have a very strong idea of how i want stelle characterized. my interpretation of their character, once it was solidified in my head, has never wavered. they're actually one of my favorite characters to write in general

"from ashes to ashes," which is funny because this was 2nd person POV experimentation fueled by ship brainrot. it just came to me very easily. i got in stelle's headspace really easily, and once i locked in, it was a wrap. easiest 3k words of my life

i already talked about my struggle with "that which binds us" so i'm gonna use this as an opportunity to talk abt the longfic sitting in my drafts. i'm just a bit out of my depth here. it needs to be TIGHT plot-wise. writing a murder mystery w/ complex character arcs is just very hard!!!

"that which binds us" because i was literally fighting for my life while writing it. we were TUSSLING in gdocs. it was genuinely such a struggle for me, so when i finished, i took a deep breath and was like... yeah not looking at it anymore. bye!

probably "girl with a pearl earring" with "hell is a place called you and me" coming in a close second haha. it was nice writing a fic centered around themes of healing, kindness, and humanization. it's probably the fic i wanted to write for kfbld the most after my dinner party fic

i think it's the fact that i wrote very important chunks of it while literally In Transit, so i feel like i've imparted little pieces of myself into dan heng's moments of introspection. him, traveling and finding himself. me, doing the same. it's my silly, flawed love letter to him.

oh god... it's a toss up between "girl with a pearl earring," "this adolescent heart of mine," and my current longfic wip that i've been keeping under wraps. i might be leaning towards the jingheng fic right now though.

broke out of my kfbld bubble this year and it's been a lot of fun! i find myself always going back to them, though

i've written for 3-4 fandoms this year!

without a doubt, it has to be honkai star rail. i've just been so captivated by not only the characters, but also the world building. such a fun wacky sci-fi setting. i love it and can't get enough of it

tried writing in a new POV (2nd person), switched things up between present and past tense, tested out a new writing style, different genres... have been trying to polish and refine my writing more in general, too. it's been fun trying out so many new things!

18 fics total and most of them are done or published so currently patting myself on the back for that 🥹
