Undiagnosed ADHD is bad, but I think the most damaging part of it is spending an entire childhood feeling like a Bad Kid no matter how hard you try not to be.
You can't pay attention (you want to), you don't try hard enough (you want to), and you waste your time on useless stuff (you don't want to).
And this whole time I was resenting the cut fruit asians because I'm first generation and *I* didn't get any cut fruit while *I* was studying.
I never really feel homesick for LA but whenever I'm back, it so clearly is home. I can't believe I have formed an emotional attachment to the 134, but here I am.
For me it's more about focusing on infrastructure to support AI, rather than the parts of American infrastructure that have been crumbling for decades. AI is obviously a bubble, and Americans actually need roads & housing built sustainably. But I'm paid to write jokes not policy, so what do I know.
